The optional damage waiver is $37 for stays up to 10 nights, with an additional $1.5 per day for stays longer than 10 nights. Damage waiver purchases are optional. To make this process easy for you, we use a secure and very simple, app-free platform called Happy Guest. It is not an app, and you do not have to sign up for an account - it’s a safe and secure website. It also gives you a guest portal with all the info about the home and all of my favorite local spots. ➡️ Guests under 23 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation. The hot tub is for guests 23 and over and children accompanied by their parent/legal guardian. Alcohol is not allowed in the hot tub. 🧻☕ We provide a start of 2 full toilet paper rolls per bathroom, liquid hand soap, shampoo, body wash, and laundry detergent pods. In the kitchen we provide a start of K cups, tea, sugar, salt, pepper, various spices, cooking oil, 1 full paper towel roll, liquid dish and hand soap, and a brand new sponge. We do not refill these supplies mid-stay, so for longer bookings plan on buying some extra supplies. 🔥 The gas fireplace is shut off from April 1 to September 30, as is standard with every other cabin in the Smokies. 🚘 There is an 8-minute drive up the mountain to this cabin. The road is very well paved and wide enough for 2 cars to pass each other. There are some steep grades and sharp turns on the way up. A vehicle equipped with 4WD/AWD is recommended when the weather is bad. We promise the view from the top will be worth it! 🐕 Although we love our furry friends, we do not allow pets. 🛡️ All guests are encouraged to purchase travel insurance through Airbnb to protect against a change in plans due to illness or weather. This cabin is privately owned; the owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries, or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. The homeowners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise. Use of the surrounding community areas including any sort of swimming, water facility, or hot tub is the sole risk or the renter, guest, and their guests. 6. Keep the property and all furnishings in good order. Removing any items from the cabin, including living and kitchen furnishings, is not permitted and you will be charged accordingly if anything is removed. 7. Only use appliances for their intended uses. 8. Pets are NOT allowed. If you bring a pet, you will be asked to leave without a refund. If you bring a pet and any incident happens with your pet and a neighbor, any human, or any other being, living or non-living, the homeowners are not liable. DO NOT BRING A PET. 9. Parking: 4 vehicles allowed. Number of vehicles is not allowed to exceed the number indicated in the listing. Vehicles are to be parked in designated parking areas only. Parking on the road in front of the cabin is not permitted. Parking in the neighbor’s driveway is not permitted. Any illegally parked cars are subject to towing; applicable fines/towing fees are the sole responsibility of the vehicle owner. 10. Check-in/Check-out times. Please follow the check-in and check-out times as indicated in the listing. 11. Maintenance is not available during your stay unless it is an emergency. If something is broken it is because the previous guest did not tell us. If you see something, please say something. 12. Housekeeping: The cabin is cleaned before every stay. There is no daily housekeeping service provided during your stay. While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. We do not permit towels or linens to be taken from the units. Before you leave, we ask that the following items be completed to help our housekeeper prepare for the next guest: - Do not wash towels prior to departure. - Leave sheets and comforters on the beds. - Empty the fridge and put all trash in the bear-proof can located next to the driveway. - Please load all dishes into the dishwasher and run it. 13. Please lock all doors and all windows upon departure. 14. Garbage: Any garbage must be stowed in the proper garbage receptacle, located in the bear-proof can in the front of the driveway. Please do not leave any loose trash outside or inside of the property. 15. Hot Tub: [*No children under the age of 18 permitted in hot tubs at any time without adult supervision*]. When using the hot tub, remember there is a certain health risk associated with this facility. Use at your own risk. Our housekeepers drain, sanitize, refill, and replenish chemicals in all tubs prior to your arrival; therefore, it may not be warm until later that evening. DO NOT SIT OR STAND ON THE HOT TUB COVER. Hot tub covers are for insulation purposes and are not designed to support a person or persons. They will break and you may be charged for replacement. When not using the hot tub, leave the cover on so the hot tub will stay warm. Secure wind strap on hot tub cover during your stay and upon leaving. 16. Fireplace: The fireplace is a gas fireplace. Please do not throw any paper or other combustible materials in the fireplace. [Fireplaces are turned off from April 1 to October 1. They are not operational during this time of the year as is standard in all cabins across the Smokies]. 17. Water and Septic: The cabin is on well and septic systems. The mineral content in the water is high. During a drought, the well water may have an odor. The septic system is very effective; however, it will clog up if improper material is flushed. DO NOT FLUSH anything other than toilet paper. No feminine products should be flushed at any time. If it is found that feminine products have been flushed and clog the septic system, you could be charged damages of up to $1000. Absolutely no grease dumped down the kitchen sink. 18. Storms: No refunds will be given for storms or any other act of nature beyond our control. Mountain roads can be curvy and steep. There is an 8-minute drive up the mountain off of the main road. The road is well paved and wide enough for 2 vehicles to easily pass each other; however there are some steep grades and sharp turns on the way up and down. It's easy after the first time and the view from the top is well worth it! Parking is available in the main driveway right in front of the cabin. This driveway can accommodate 2 vehicles. There is a secondary driveway just beyond the main driveway, which can accommodate another 2 vehicles.
